In the 3rd week of the challenge, I averaged 55g of carbs (48g net carbs). I consider this a win!
I forgot to weigh myself, but I think my pants are getting looser.
Of note this week are 2 cheat days, but I still averaged a 268/day calorie-deficit.
I split a Starbucks S’more with my husband on the 20th and it made me feel proud of myself because I didn’t feel the need to eat the whole thing or to order another one just for myself. When I got home, I realized I also didn’t feel deprived or guilty that I ate something sweet–feelings that are good NOT to have. I consider this a victory in terms of my relationship with food. I used to not be able to pace myself.
On the 18th, I went to a housewarming party and ate around around a cup of aglio olio shrimp pasta, liempo, chicken, and drank Chardonnay. My carb intake that day reached 106g which was surprising. I thought it would be higher. Maybe cronometer is off on some food items? or I just missed logging some ingredients or was wrong in my estimates.
Anyway, I don’t have set cheat days, but when there’s a social gathering, which doesn’t happen often, I eat what everyone’s having in moderation (except I really try to skip sweet drinks and desserts). I think I did a good job of moderating.
I also ate a lot of fast food this week (eg, bun-less burger, rice-less dishes). I’m envious of anyone who can consistently plan their meals. While it’s possible to find low carb options in fast food restaurants, I still prefer to know what’s actually in my food.
